Deep Question for Friday...

Is there a difference between breasts, boobs, tits, fun bags, hooters, honkers, headlights, jugs, and bazongas? Are they all mere slang terms, or do they denote any sort of size or value judgment? For example, I think boobs are A and B-cups, tits are C's, and jugs would have to be DD and up. Honkers fall somewhere between tits and jugs. Also, I think "fun bags" denote a certain respect for the quality and attractiveness of the mammarian parts exhibited.

What's your favorite slang term for breasts? And I'd like to hear some more flattering slang terms for A-cups, because at this point all I can think of is, "mosquito bites."

What do you think?

A's can be termed peaches as opposed to C or larger melons.

I've also recently head a comedian call the large versions "titanics" and the smaller vewsions "tittles"

Hmmm, see, I would have reversed the first two. I think of tits as something kinda smaller and boobs as definitely a B+ and above. C's are definitely boobs imo.

Ta-tas could definitely be used for A's and B's. And "sweater puppies" is one of my fav euphemisms.

Tina - Peaches! I totally forgot about peaches.

Foggy - So, boobs are larger than tits? And...how do they remind you of canines, anyway?

Because boobs and tits, like puppies, are bouncy and fun to play with.

I once suggested in conversation that I was going to start referring to breasts exclusively as "fun bags", in every context possible. My genius was not appreciated at the time :(

I never mentioned on the "thread" yesterday that I generally agree with your size/name correlations.

Also: I think "tits" is kind of crass, but totally fine when prefixed with "sugar". Sorry if I seem to be beating a dead horse there. But I don't think I mentioned I find it slightly crass.

FD: I'd always heard "sweater cows", but maybe that's just because they were C's and up.

The amateur linguist in me wonders if the terms with a's and i's in them connote smallness, and the terms with "u" and "o" indicate, well, more than a man can readily handle.

Foggy - But do they eat your shoes?

J - I really think we're all going to have to call each other 'sugar tits' from now on. Especially the boys.

I think boobs are larger than tits, but not always. Boobies are smaller than boobs.

I'm a big fan of "Sweet tits" although that doesn't refer to tits, per se.

Sweaterboulders are definitely larger than sweater puppies.

As one who is more generously endowed, I'd like to request that we retire "jugs" from the lexicon of breast-related words. I don't need parts of my body to be named after a low budget porn rag.

BH - Sweaterboulders? Lordy. And, yes, boobies tend to be smaller.

hp - Would you prefer headlights or honkers?

No difference really, for they are all welcome... IN MAH TRUK!

I have a friend (my brother-in-law in all but blood) who calls my boobs "Marvelous Mountains" and "Treasure Chest" and I'm a c/d cup. I think jugs (agree with HP HATE the term) and bazongas usually refer to MUCH larger breasts. I refer to all breasts as boobies.

Hammer - Aw, I missed THE TRUK.

Jo - Treasure Chest? That's awesome. And I had no idea the term 'jugs' was so offensive - probably because I have mosquito bites verging on boobies.

I like to call mine breasticles. It comes in handy whenever you're making up a rap and need something to rhyme with testicles. I am a weird person.

I didn't know I had "jugs" - oh well. I usually refer to my jugs as boobs and my husband calls them boobies. I guess our names are a little on the subtle side. I like the term breasticles!

Tetons. I don't believe anyone has tagged line boobs as such yet in the comment stream. But I am guessing Teton=massive mountain of cleavage. ha.
