The Ask and Answer Blogger-Reader Exchange

I have questions. I want you to answer them. And to make it worth your while, if you answer one of my questions, you can come up with something for me (or the group as a whole) to answer.

So, here goes:

True or False: Dating and Relationships
1. True or False: Pickup artists appreciate women more than typical "nice guys" because the pickup artists give women what they really want.
2. True or False: A person who is not close to his/her family is a poor relationship prospect.

Essay Section: Retail
3. I love, adore, can't live without polo shirt dresses (think Gwyneth Paltrow in The Royal Tenenbaums). But the only ones I can ever find are at American Apparel, and are skanky-short (even on 5'2", Welsh-legged me!). Where can I buy polo shirt dresses?
4. At some point, when my employment situation is more settled, I want to buy a stereo. (Not an iPod docking station, I have nothing to dock.) My current system, an Aiwa, is finally dying after five years. I hate those giant frat-boy space alien looking things. But I want multi-CD and a tape deck. What should I buy?

1.) False. Pickup artists manipulate women into thinking they have their best interests at heart. In fact, they're just out for some tail.

2.) False.

3.) When I think polo shirt dresses, I think JCrew. When I think DSJ I think "teeny tiny." JCrew does clothes for the teeny tiny quite well. You may have to check out their petites or even kids department, but I cannot imagine them not having something. If you wanted to drop mad bucks, I'd suggest Lacoste or Rugby as well. Oh, and Sherman Pickey in G'Town. If you haven't gone its worth it for the amusement factor alone. I thought I had been abducted and transported to Planet Prep that one time I was there.

4. I won't be of much use here. My stereo consists of a 6 disk Onkyo changer, a receiver from 1970 and two speakers that mysteriously hum and distort everything. I'm getting an iPod docking station when I get a job since I do have something to dock.

1. True or False: False. Maybe some, but certainly more than a few are insecure and overcompensating.

2. True or False: False. What if their family is a bunch of meth addicts with a dog fighting business? I would find it more attractive if they were not clos eto their family if something like that was the case.

No ideer on your other questions, but good luck!

1) False: Nice guys appreciate it more because they never get any.

2) False: Blood is thicker than water, but who wants to drink a tall glass of blood? Plus you don't get to choose your family. You're being chosen.

3) I have no idea what you're talking about. All you need are T-shirts and jeans.

4) Something expensive with lots of jacks in the back. You want something that lasts long enough to be mentioned in your will.

1. False. Unless women really want to be lied to until they put out.

2. False.

3. Umm, I dunno. Maybe cause skanky is the new black?

4. You want a CD-changer and a tape deck? OK, first you need to buy a Delorean. Next, turn it into a time machine so you can go back to when they still made tape decks. I'm kidding, of course. Onkyo makes the best audio equipment. Polk makes excellent speakers. Of course, it would be a huge frat-boy system. Maybe one of these would be better. They don't have tape decks, though. I don't think they even make boomboxes with tape decks anymore.

re: 4
If you still have tapes you want to listen to you might want to use something like this (http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/audio/7a8d/) to dump the contents to your computer so you can put them on CD.
